CURATORIAL EXPERIENCE:
2009-2005   Salon Margraff, 25C Big Tesuque Canyon, Santa Fe,
Founding partner and curator for 25 monthly shows in unique local art venue. Duties include all aspects of “hands on” art handling, exhibition design, publicity, sales, and budgeting.
2006   Art and Infinity, Visual Arts Gallery, Santa Fe Community College,
Exhibited works by six local and national artists concerned with quantum spaces and universal mystery. Duties included curating and preparing the exhibition with gallery staff and artists, coordinating delivery of artworks in conjunction with the artists’ galleries, allocating available funds for publicity, and writing a curatorial statement and short bio of each artist. Also issuing press releases, fulfilling the gallery’s exhibition checklist, and creating graphic solutions for the exhibition’s publicity and printed materials.
2005   BLOC-BUSTA,
Conceived, co-curated, and coordinated a month long, multi-venue art event involving eighty-six artists from Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos- locations included: project space at Art Santa Fe, The College of Santa Fe Art Gallery, The Santa Fe Art Institute, The Center for Contemporary Arts, Donkey Gallery, Factory on 5th in Albuquerque, the Taos Plaza Theatre, over twenty other commercial and non-profit galleries. Project included the publication and distribution of the BLOC-BUSTA catalog, “hands on” exhibition design and staging simultaneous openings over the course of two weeks in all three towns. Curators raised and managed a budget of $39,000.00 in patron’s donations and artist’s fees, over a course of five months.
2004   TRIKE, Philspace, 1410 Second St. Santa Fe,
Co-curated a three-person show of local artists to inaugurate Philspace. Duties included all aspect of exhibition, gallery preparation, and publicity.
2003   RECROOM, Klaudia Marr Gallery, 668 Canyon Rd. Santa Fe,
Curated a three-person show of local artists in the gallery’s project space concerning themes of childhood/adolescence and the cultural significance of play.
2001   PAINTING IS DEAD, Plan B Evolving Arts, 1050 0ld Pecos Trail, Santa Fe,
Co-curated a show of contemporary painting by twenty-six local and national artists. Duties included jurying a ‘call for entries’, preparing galleries, art handling and designing a salon-style exhibition of three or more works by each artist, and writing and publishing a curatorial statement.
